DB ''Driving'' - 2003

Doris B. had been so busy that years had gone by since the last song-writing project and so together with Dave Beeson, a fantastic guitarist and producer, they collaborated on a series of songs. Their shared initials became the title of the ‘band’.

As they were both very busy with other projects there was no pressure or direction – just creativity. This produced an album of mixed genres yet held together by Doris B’s distinctive voice.

1996-2009 (in between projects)

Everyone has to earn some money and Doris B. was not short of offers for covers bands and session work. Various bands were joined, either temporarily or full time including Buzz, Planet Funk, Sister Act, Ladykillers and lastly the Bet Lynch Experience AKA Treacle who became the busiest party band in the UK. This latter band played so many gigs (1400 in 7 years) that they decided to take a year out from April 2009.

ONLINE ALBUM COVER 800x800

2011 saw the start of another album project which was released in July 2012. After the 'live' recording of the Last Adventure, Doris had a change of direction but not style. 'Not Utopia' is a studio project in conjunction with producer and guitarist Lee Dunham, who has shaved off about 10 years of her retro sound. Eclectic as ever, songs and instrumentation are varied with plenty of prog elements to please all musos.
