Doris Brendel, one of the most unique female rock-singers of the last decade, is releasing her new single 'Ebay (Today I Sold Myself)' taken from her latest album, Not Utopia, on Sky-Rocket Recordings on 3rd February 2013. The daughter of famed classical pianist Alfred Brendel, her distinctive vocals were the driving force behind The Violet Hour, who were signed to Sony when they released their now revered, classic album ‘The Fire Sermon’. 'Ebay (Today I Sold Myself)' is a quirky, wistful and multi-dimensional track with highly memorable and emotive lyrics and a hint of humour, which can be interpreted in many ways. It features both Brendel's and producer and multi-instrumentalist Lee Dunham's vocals, with a typically emotional and distinctive performance from both. Brendel has become known for her eclectic and highly original style and 'Not Utopia' has had untold glowing reviews to date and radio play around the globe. Brendel has headlined many shows and festivals this year with new dates for 2013 to be announced soon.
